The Chronicle Take 2 Podcast | One Battle After Another Review

A man with a beanie hat and sunglasses takes something from another man

The chat continuesd after episode 50 with another episode of The Chronicle Take 2.  Myself and Sean Wilson  reviewed  Paul Thomas Anderson‘s One Battle After Another.

Thank you very much to everyone who downloaded and listened to episode 50.  Now One Battle After Another  saw PTA back into Thomas Pynchon  territory with his classic 1990 novel Vineland (Inherent Vice was the other). Leonardo Di Caprio  stars Benicio del Toro, Sean Penn, Regina Hall, Teyana Taylor, and Chase Infiniti to name a few.

When it comes  the plot for One Battle After Another  you could spoil everything . To Keep spoiling things you can look at it two ways: The rise and fall of French 75, a left wing terror/vigilante group. Or simply a stoner alcoholic attempting to find his missing daughter when his old life catches up with him. Bob Ferguson (DiCaprio) was the gadget man for the group who now brings  up his daughter Willa (Infiniti) on his own. It’s a project the director has been working on since 1999/2000, will it be worth the wait?
