A few weeks ago was Halloween and for Episode 51 of The Chronicle we went for a Halloween Special.

Myself Sean Wilson, Nick Bartlett chat all things horror and supernatural with our favourite films and shows. I kicked things off with a new entry from the V/H/S  franchise  now on Shudder with V/H/S Halloween. The long-running found footage anthology franchise delivers 5 tales that remind us not to be greedy, have fun and don’t answer the phone… is it the funniest or dumbest entry?

Nick and Sean also review recent releases of Strange Harvest from Stuart Ortiz. A crime come mock-u-horror which 2 detectives hunt the infamous masked serial killer Mr Shiny. Nick chats about the very grim masterpiece Martyrs that Eureka Entertainment has recently re-released on 4K (read Bradley Hadcroft’s review).

I look back at 2 found footage films, Evidence and Tape 407.  These 2 films that  differ in quality, which fall into the so bad but so good category. Finally, Ghost Stories For Christmas, a selection of old-fashioned gothic chillers which included stories from the Godfather of ghost stories, M.R. James.
