It just feels like yesterday we had a new episode for The Chronicle Film Podcast. Guess what we have  Episode 37 with Mona 2, Conclave and Wicked.

Apologies for the big wait between episodes, so this week your hosts Paul and Clotilde review 3 films. All out in UK, Irish and many cinemas around the world and st to be big players at the box office.

Up first is Moana 2, the long awaited sequel to Disney‘s 2016 animation of the same name. Are you aware this long awaited sequel nearly never happened? Now it has with Auli‘i Cravalho back as our titular heroine and Dwayne Johnson as demi-god Maui. Moana takes to the seas after a call from her ancestors. She must break an ancient curse and reunite her fellow people of the seas. Will the new film find the success of the original film?

Next review is Conclave starring Ralph Fiennes, Stanley Tucci and Isabella Rossellini. Fiennes is Cardinal Lawrence who is in charge after the Pope’s unexpected death as the church’s most powerful leaders gather. These events push him into the centre of the most secretive, ancient gatherings. He finds himself in the middle of a conspiracy that shakes the church.

Final review is Wicked, which stars Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba Thropp and Ariana Grande as Glinda. Both at University Glinda befriends Elphaba who is seen as a outcast, friends forever with different ambitions.
