Here’s a new episode of The Chronicle Film Podcast, Episode 16 . In this new episode I will review comedies Theater Camp, The Blackening and The Dive.
Summer might be officially over, we head into Summer Theatre Camp for some laughts with comedy Theater Camp. This was one isdirected by Nick Liberman and Molly Gordon (who also stars) next to Ben Platt, Jimmy Tatro and Amy Sedaris. When a Upstae New York rundown camp, Joan the founder has a seizure and falls into a coma. The remaing staff want to continue thing and attempt to keep things a float when times are hard. Can this be like the Mighty wind or even This Is Spinal Tap?
For the second review it’s all about survival, with survival thriller The Dive. Two scuba diving loving sisters head to a remote spot to dive. Within minutes of diving a rockslide traps on of the sisters leaving the other is racing against time to save the other.
The final review comes from Tim Story (Ride Along) with horror comedy The Blackening We follow a group of black friends who reunite to celebrate in a remote cabin in the woods. When they find themselves target of a masked killer, what do they want? Can the all survive?
